THE STARTER OF A PURPOSE LED SAGA
THE ROOTS
Malaya grew up in a household where music was always playing. His grandfather, a sitarist, was his first Guruji, who gave his life to music. However, he had to switch gears in life as Gujarati music had no ecosystem that could make money for people like him. That fact settled somewhere deep and never left.
THE REALIZATION
Years later, Malaya carried out a consumer research including Gujarati artists, only to find out that the same lack of infrastructure story in new voices. Musicians pursuing their art in non-Gujarati languages as ours did not pay their bills. The talent and audience have always been around. The system was not. And it could be built!
THE MISSION
O5IVE was built as the answer to that. Not just a label or a production house, but the backend facets of music and films that Gujarati artists are less aware of: publishing, distribution, ownership, whilst being connected to your roots. The goal is simple and stubborn. No artist should ever again have to choose between the language they think in and the life they want to build.
THE NAME
GJ-05 is Surat's code. That is where Malaya is from, where these values took shape, and where this larger than life dream brew. O5IVE is destined grow, but the name makes sure that wherever it goes, our roots ride along!

Every culture eventually gets a moment when it stops asking to be included and starts building its own room. Birds View Entertainment is the start of that movement for Gujarat.
We exist to give our language something it has never had: a serious industry of its own. We produce films, and put out independent music in Gujarati, operating under the banner O5IVE. Currently, these two arms work as one. Both blend into each other as our vision rides on bringing musical leverage to films and vice versa.
The talent was never the missing piece. Gujarat has produced extraordinary artists for generations. What was missing was somewhere for them to go, something to build toward, and a reason to pursue their artistic expression in their mother tongue. Being artiste-first is what changes the lens for any industry and O5IVE sits at the crux of this new dawn of Gujarat!
A culture does not become an industry by accident. It needs someone to take the leap of faith. This is us doing exactly that.
